If you say that it helps you match revs better than I'll take your word for it, but for acceleration I don't think it helps too much. Look at it from my point of view- I am trying to make my car as fast as I can make it on a somewhat limited budget, and I look around and see people spending lots of money doing mods that aren't even giving them the results that I get with my plain stage 3 setup. My car isn't anything special, it's just like the others on this board. I don't have a long list of mods like polished intake, pulley, DS,flywheel, gutted cats or anything. Those mods would cost big bucks and not give me any noticeable gain. I'm only a few hundredths of a second away from running 12's on a plain stage 3 with stock wheels, street tires, restrictive cats/precats still on the car, and with the spare tire and toolkit still in the trunk, and my fat 225 lb ass (at the time, 190 now) driving. My next mods will be big ones which boost my power a lot. : Lightweight flywheels have 1 purpose, to allow the engine to rev more freely. If you did dyno pulls in 1st or 2nd gear, you would see a difference on the charts, but that's not what they are for.
